The UNISET is not to be overtaken in its class. The press is synonymous with the highest quality and efficiency in newspaper printing, as well as in the production of heatset products. The UNISET has been established in the market since 1993, and daily provides evidence that its excellent reputation is fully warranted.

High net output. The UNISET requires minimum change over times to achieve maximum output, significantly accelerating preparation for the next production.
printnet and PECOM control. Press-oriented automation through PECOM, part of the printnet family, encompasses all aspects of electronics, electrics, mechanics, and software relating to presses. With PECOM, the UNISET’s potential can be fully utilized. printnet’s modular design can be adjusted to the specific requirements of your printing company, resulting in a userfriendly network in your company.
High degree of automation. Extensive automation options* reduce waste, shorten makeready times, and lead to lower staff expenditures. The most important options include: automated (PPL®) or fully AutomaticPlateLoading (APL®), the fastest automatic webbing-up device on the market (50 meters per minute), QuickStart, and full integration of additional components in the PECOM control.
Precise folder delivery. The manroland stepping wheel with a uniform shingle stream provides the basis for precise and balanced folder delivery. This allows for a smooth transfer to the transport system and uninterrupted, constant production.
High project management standard. manroland project management offers comprehensive, individual consultation for the optimum production system. Technical consulting, press design, production, assembly, commissioning, press optimization, and customer support are all included in the service portfolio.
UNISET: the continuity of change.
Discover the option of having all options. The UNISET offers system modules to meet all demands. With the combination of coldset and heatset modules, as well as the option to operate up to four webs in the eight couple tower, the UNISET is always ready for change.

Versatile configurations. The UNISET is available in widths of two or three plates, but it also offers the option to combine both designs. Modular folding systems with various former superstructures leave almost no configuration wish unfulfilled.
Variable web widths. By making use of the web width variability of the single width press, different signatures can be produced – for diverse and flexible press utilization. This also goes for the heatset area.
Proven folding systems. In the UNISET concept, the folder superstructure is optimally adjusted to the folder components. The robust pin-type jaw folder with a 2:3:3 system is designed for high performance with up to 80 pages in broadsheet format. With the pin-type jaw folder with a 2:5:5 system, even 112 pages can be collected. Folder equipment* such as quarter fold, gluing, and stitching, provides the technical basis for a large value-added depth in inline production.
Creative press concepts. Installation of different levels can be implemented just as easily as installation in a row, or arrangement of a reel changer at a 90° angle to the printing towers. Everything is possible.

The UNISET enables innovative business models in a multifaceted media environment. Compared to purely coldset rotations, the UNISET can expand the range of product offers by adding highquality heatset production. For example for magazines, supplements, or yellow pages. Develop
new possibilities for added value in the printing company.

Printing quality. The printing units can be used for coldset and heatset* production, thus combining high page capacity and more color in newspaper production with multi color printed products in heatset quality. A third form roller, three tempered distributor rollers, and a segmented ink duct blade are used to increase quality*.
Reliable plate change. Printing plates can be quickly and easily changed without tools. A precisely defined lockup slot and register pin geometry ensures a reliable printing plate hold without additional clamping elements. The automated PPL® lockup system* can be further expanded to fully AutomaticPlateLoading APL®*.
Precise film inking unit. The film inking unit with presetting offers maximum precision for balanced ink coverage – even for difficult subject arrangements and at all speeds.
Contactless turbo dampening unit. The three-roller dampening unit operates without contact and enables precise dampening solution application throughout the entire run while maintaining maximum process stability. Exact dampening solution adjustment is ensured at all speeds, resulting in consistently high printing quality immediately from the production start.
ClosedLoop control systems. manroland has developed high-quality ClosedLoop control systems* for register control. These systems automatically and reliably provide constant quality and ensure low waste through precise registers and perfect folds. Of course, it is also possible to integrate color control systems.
